The 67th AGM of the Kilkenny Chamber was well attended recently in the Kilkenny River Court Hotel. President Martin Costello remarked that 2014 was a very successful year for the Chamber and John Hurley CEO reiterated this and outlined that membership was up +19.5% and sales of Kilkenny Gift Vouchers had increased by +32% on the previous year. The Kilkenny Business Awards in November 2014 was the biggest yet and the Chamber has been instrumental in bringing over 20 high quality jobs to Kilkenny which will be filled over the coming months.
“Many challenges lay ahead but Kilkenny businesses and the Chamber are going very much in the right direction and there is a definite air of optimism about the future. Maintaining a strong and active Chamber is crucial to driving successful business in any town and the Kilkenny Chamber has robust plans to grow its membership and continue to lobby for and represent business interests at all levels in Kilkenny City and County.” he said.
The President thanked everyone for their support and in particular the members of the Board whose professional direction is hugely important for the Chamber.
